It’s Time to Celebrate the Earth!
Happy 50th Earth Day! Let’s not let COVID-19 prevent us from celebrating this special day. Do one thing today in honor of our Planet Earth.
April 22, 1970, 20 millions of Americans mobilized in the streets around the country to protest and ask for environmental changes. That day became the landmark and trigger for many environmental laws and the climate change movement.
Yes, that’s right, it’s been 50 years since people started the Earth Day movement. 50 YEARS. It is amazing and at the same time concerting.
Fast forward 2020, scientists and economists have found ways to slow down climate change and reduce plastic pollution among others. We have the data, the facts, some solutions, but the industries and leaders against climate progress are only getting better financed. Incentives of all sorts are putting our earth and future generations are risk. I don’t want my grand-children to ask me why we didn’t do anything, that it is too late. So let’s act every day, let’s be more conscious not only of the problem but also of the beauty of our planet. Join at least one Earth Day activity/event below and sign our Less Plastic Pledge!
